Allergy Assessment
Dr Jarlath Healy has been working as a medical doctor since 1991 working in general practice with a special interest in paediatrics and child health and respiratory medicine. Dr Healy is a member of The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (Paediatrics) and holds the Postgraduate Diploma in Allergy from The Imperial College London (2019). He is a member of The Irish Food Allergy Network, The British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology and the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Allergy assessment, examination, allergy skin prick testing, spirometry (lung function) testing and blood testing are provided at the clinic.

At Tipp Allergy Clinic we assess symptoms that may be caused by an allergy such as food allergy, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, hay fever, asthma and eczema, hives and lip swelling When it’s appropriate skin prick allergy testing may help in the diagnosis of allergy.
Symptoms that develop rapidly after eating foods causing hives, skin redness or swelling, throat, respiratory symptoms or weakness require assessment and management.
Asthma and symptoms that may have an allergic cause impact on quality of life significantly and require thorough assessment and appropriate advice and management. We also offer grass pollen and house dust mite immunotherapy as part of the service.
Infants and young children in particular require an experienced approach to help with their care.
Please note we do not see adults with stomach or bowel symptoms which are rarely associated with allergy
